Edwards' playoff-high 43 powers Wolves to emphatic Game 1 win
Anthony Edwards exploded for a playoff career-high 43 points on Wednesday night, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a dominant 130-104 Game 1 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Edwards was unstoppable from the field, shooting 16-of-27, including 6-of-11 from three-point range. He also added 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
The Timberwolves led by just 6 points at halftime, but they pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Cavaliers 66-32 in the third and fourth quarters.
Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves, while D'Angelo Russell chipped in with 18 points.
The Cavaliers were led by Darius Garland's 25 points, but they struggled to keep up with the Timberwolves' high-powered offense.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Friday night in Cleveland.
